FAQ

Is it possible to edit a signed document?

It is not possible to edit a signed document. However, note that if a document is signed with a real electronic signature, any edits you wish to make to it will invalidate the signature.

In such cases, you will need to create a copy of the document and send it out again, or create a new document, re-upload the previously signed one, and add an amendment page.

Is it illegal to edit a signed PDF?

While editing a signed PDF isn’t illegal in itself, the consequences of doing so can be. For instance, if you make changes to a signed agreement that is made to be legally binding, any changes that are made to it can invalidate the legality of the agreement.

How do I edit and sign documents online?

Sign into Xodo Sign online and from your dashboard, upload your document.

Select Edit Document from the Quick Actions menu and edit the document as needed. Then click on Prepare for Signature, add yourself and any other signers.

Click on Prepare and add your own signature field along with any other signing fields. Draw, type, or upload an image of your signature.
